We prefer for our customers to take care of payment themselves as a part of our trust system with our customers. Unfortunately, our trust in our customers is not always enough and some customers in the past have opted not to pay the remaining balance for our services. Please note that we are human, and we understand that things can get ruff with finances at times. While we do understand, we ask that you understand that the teams here at Cleansville Movers labor teams are just as dedicated to caring for their families as you are and deserve to be compensated for all the hard work, experience, and effort that they put into making sure that you and your family have the best moving experience possible. Some of you have extremely difficult projects that include very heavy items that can be life threatening or can be an aid in the deterioration of their physical health in the future, but they do it so that you don’t have to. Please consider how non-payment for your services would affect you and your family and all other families that are connected. We are a business and cannot allow our hearts and emotions substitute as payment for services. Sympathy for your misfortunes unfortunately will not feed the families of the teams that work hard to secure the things that are important to you and your family. If your project exceeds the estimation your received, you are responsible for the new balance quoted upon completion of your project. Cleansville Movers employees do not have the authority to change your project total. Cleansville Movers employees are prohibited to assist any customer of Cleansville Movers outside of Cleansville Scheduled projects to avoid payment for overage additional time needed and/or completed. If the “Total Amount Due/ Project Total” was calculated incorrectly, you are authorizing Cleansville Movers to charge your account for the correct amount due as determined by the total billable time and rates listed in your project details and /or work order explained in your project details sent to you via email upon booking. This can happen after VERY long moves and even after a short move...we are all human and mistakes can and do happen every now and then. A billing error does not absolve a customer of his/her responsibility to pay the difference. If your project is completed under the estimated time, you will be refunded for the unused time past the two-hour minimum if you have already submitted your full balance ahead of your project date or if your project is a same day project and your payment has already been submitted. This also aids in being able to identify what the customer has or has not mentioned upon booking about the contents of their property and details of the customers project. In the event of a dispute over any detail of your project, all content that relates to your project will be reviewed, accessed, and addressed accordingly. In Home Estimations: We do not give in-home estimations unless your home is already packed, all spaces cleared or shown to the Cleansville team member doing your estimation and ready to be loaded when we agree to come out to do an estimation for your project. If items are added to your project after a Cleansville Estimation Specialist comes out to estimate your project and your project exceeds the quoted due to this, you are responsible for any charges that apply to your project. Please note that even with an in-home estimation we cannot guarantee a 100% accurate estimation, the provided project total is an estimation. If you need an in-home estimate done for a project that requires a total move that includes packing, please be sure to show all spaces during the estimation appointment to be sure that you receive the most accurate estimation possible. Be sure to show all closets, cabinets, drawers, storage spaces, garages, appliance, basements, attics, underneath sink cabinets, and any other spaces associated with your project to ensure the most accurate estimation for your project. Again, please note that all project totals given are estimations and can be achieved if the customer is honest about their project details, if the customer has everything that they are supposed to have prepared ready when the team arrives to begin your project on your projects date, all that is supposed to be ready for the team is ready to be loaded, and there are no additional stops or task to be complete that were not mentioned when the estimation was quoted. • PLANTS AND PETS: Plants: Plans are illegal to transport on moves longer than 150 miles--for local moves it will be up to your movers' discretion. You are advised to pack and transport your house plants yourself, since they can be very delicate and susceptible to unfavorable temperatures and conditions. Pets: Pets are never allowed on the moving trailer under any circumstances. Air conditions are poor, and temperatures can be extreme--even for very brief moves, you cannot stow your pet on the moving truck. Pets must be transported in your own vehicle or taken on the plane with you if you are flying to your new home. Unclean pet bedding, cages, carriers, food dishes, and toys may also be prohibited on the truck because they are considered unsanitary, may attract insects or cause odors. Thoroughly clean any pet amenities before moving or transport them in your own vehicle. If the truck, blankets, or other equipment requires cleaning because of fecal matter, pest (i.e., fleas, ticks, bed, bugs, lice, etc.), etc., a cleaning fee will be charged/ invoiced for immediate reimbursement to Cleansville Movers for expenses used to eradicate the infestation or hazardous/unsanitary conditions incurred.
• HAZARDOUS MATERIALS: Professional movers are paid to aid you in every aspect of your relocation, and to safely move the contents of your household to their destination without misplacement or damage to your goods. However, there are certain possessions that movers won't move due to laws, ethics, and safety regulations. When you are planning a move, it is important to consider these items and prepare for moving day by packing and transporting them yourself or disposing of them properly. This guide will list these prohibited and undesirable items for you, as well as provide you with the tips for moving them on your own. Before moving, make plans to either give these items away to friends or neighbors or dispose of them properly. Call your local Environmental Protection Agency Office or fire department to find out the correct and safest method for disposal. If you are moving any yard and/or cutting equipment such as lawn mowers, saws, etc., be sure to drain the gas from its tank before the movers arrive and that all blades are covered and made safe for your team to handle. If your move is local, you may consider packing and transporting certain items in your own vehicle. If so, be sure not to expose them to any extreme heat and to use discretion. It is also not advised to attempt to fool the movers by packing any of these items without informing them. According to the Department of Transportation, if movers are unaware of the presence of hazardous items on their truck, their liability is greatly limited should anything happen to your property during transport. Professional movers cannot transport anything that is flammable, corrosive, or explosive. These items can be dangerous to the movers as well as your property and are illegal to transport. They include, but are not necessarily limited to:
